Family Shoot

You are interested in a family shoot but have some questions? I have bundled the most frequently asked questions below.

Is your question not listed? Send me a mail. Or a direct message via Instagram @silviya_photography

Where will the family shoot take place?

I love to come to your location for the family shoot. Or we plan a shoot outside on a nice spot. However on a shoot that takes 1 hour we won’t change locations. This is for the flow of the shoot but also it takes you out of the moment. And I’d love you to stay in the moment.

We have a small baby/child. Is one hour enough?

Mostly it will be really enough. My advise is to plan the shoot for after his/her sleep and just after waking up. In the next hour you’ll give your child so many hugs and kisses it will enjoy it to the fullest.

What shall we wear?

I love all sorts of colors but it should fit the mood of your pictures. A color pallete with blue, beige, white, green fits nice together.

We don't post so well. What can we do?

Well I am happy you don’t pose so well cause I won’t ask you to pose. I love natural poses where you are laughing with your partner and kids, have hugs, whispering funny things into each others ears. These are the most natural moments that will look great in your family album. And actually also how your kids will remember how it really was.

Our living room is messy, can we find another spot for the shoot?

Messy is mostly not that bad. If you don’t mind me moving a chair or a couch so we create a peaceful background that most messy houses are really ok. If you are really uncomfortable then you can choose for a outside shoot.

It rains, what shall we do?

A bit rain is never a big problem. A long rainy day however can be touch so we should have contact 24 hours prior to the shoot. In case it keeps raining the next we’ll have contact 2 hours prior to the shoot and confirm if we postpone or shoot.

You can also choose for an inside location instead.

We are sick, can we postpone.

Especially in times of Covid-19 we need to postpone the shoot. We will confirm a date for the next 4 weeks. Please let me know at least 24 hours before that you need to postpone. If it’s in the morning 2 hours prior will suffice.
